The Leavenworth Spring Bird Fest is a celebration of the natural world and all things "bird" and takes place this weekend, May 19-22, 2016 in spectacular Leavenworth, Washington with events and activities throughout the Wenatchee River valley for all ages- including fun FREE events for kids & their families.
As the Birdfest folks note: "The Leavenworth area features amazing habitats that are home to a wide array of resident and migratory bird species. It is also a popular tourist destination with a multitude of dining and shopping options, as well as easy access to world-class hiking, mountain biking, rafting, rock climbing, and other outdoor activities. Attendees are invited to make the most of their Bird Fest experience by exploring everything the area has to offer."
Bird Fest Central is located at the Wenatchee River Institute @ Barn Beach Reserve, a 9-acre nature preserve on the banks of the Wenatchee River at 347 Division Street in Leavenworth, Washington. At Bird Fest Central, you can register and check-in for field trips, get a festival program, pick-up a birding checklist, and get your questions answered. You're also just steps away from the Family Discovery Center, Waterfront Park, and Blackbird Island – a popular stop on Audubon's Great Washington Birding Trail.
