The Leavenworth Spring Bird Fest is a celebration of the natural world and all things "bird" and takes place this weekend, May 19-22, 2016 in spectacular Leavenworth, Washington with events and activities throughout the Wenatchee River valley for all ages- including fun FREE events for kids & their families.
As the Birdfest folks note: "The Leavenworth area features amazing habitats that are home to a wide array of resident and migratory bird species. It is also a popular tourist destination with a multitude of dining and shopping options, as well as easy access to world-class hiking, mountain biking, rafting, rock climbing, and other outdoor activities. Bird Fest Central is located at the Wenatchee River Institute @ Barn Beach Reserve, a 9-acre nature preserve on the banks of the Wenatchee River at 347 Division Street in Leavenworth, Washington. At Bird Fest Central, you can register and check-in for field trips, get a festival program, pick-up a birding checklist, and get your questions answered. You're also just steps away from the Family Discovery Center, Waterfront Park, and Blackbird Island – a popular stop on Audubon's Great Washington Birding Trail.
